How Fundora Structures Its Programs

Every Fundora program runs over multiple weeks — short enough to hold a schedule, long enough for concepts to settle properly. Sessions are spaced to allow for reflection, and facilitators encourage participants to bring real situations from their own financial lives into the discussion.

No single program tries to cover everything. Each is deliberately scoped to a specific financial area — currency, collective investments, or freelancer financial planning. This focus is what makes each program thorough rather than superficial.

Currency and forex awareness program Malaysia
Program 01 · 3 Weeks

Currency & Forex Awareness

An educational overview of how currency markets function, tailored for Malaysians who deal with foreign exchange in travel, remittances, or international purchases. This is an awareness program — not a trading course. Participants learn to read forex quotes, understand the costs embedded in currency conversion, and recognise the factors that influence the Ringgit's relative value.

What You'll Cover

  • How exchange rates are quoted and what the spread means
  • Factors influencing MYR — trade balance, interest rates, sentiment
  • MYR-SGD dynamics and cross-border considerations
  • Understanding the hidden costs in retail forex transactions
  • Practical live forex chart demonstrations

Mutual funds and unit trusts orientation Malaysia
Program 02 · 5 Weeks

Mutual Funds & Unit Trusts Orientation

A structured introduction to the collective investment vehicles most widely discussed in Malaysia. Unit trusts are among the most commonly held investment products in the country, yet most participants arrive not fully understanding fee structures, performance measurements, or what their fund fact sheet actually tells them. This program addresses that gap directly.

What You'll Cover

  • How unit trusts are structured and what NAV means
  • Sales charges, management fees, and expense ratios — in practice
  • Reading and interpreting actual fund fact sheets
  • Comparing performance across funds with the same benchmark
  • A framework for evaluating whether a fund suits your situation

Financial planning for freelancers Malaysia
Program 03 · 6 Weeks

Financial Planning for Freelancers

Built specifically around the financial realities of self-employed Malaysians and gig workers. Irregular income, absent employer benefits, and less straightforward tax obligations require a different financial approach than salaried employment — and this program provides a framework for it. Participants work through their own income and expense patterns during sessions to build a personalised financial plan.

What You'll Cover

  • Managing income variability — budgeting without a fixed salary
  • Voluntary EPF contributions — when, how much, and why
  • Voluntary SOCSO self-coverage — eligibility and process
  • LHDN filing basics for sole proprietors (B Form)
  • Building an emergency buffer suited to irregular income
  • Peer networking with other Malaysian freelancers
